Updated versions of Windows 11 supported processors lists

Windows 11, Microsoft’s new operating system, is expected to be released this fall, October 5th 2021 to be precise. It will improve the security and will require the CPU and the motherboard to include some hardware-enforced attack protections. As a consequence, Microsoft published a first list of Windows 11 supported processors last 24th of June 2021. This list has been updated recently (27th of August 2021) to include some additional processors.

The following AMD processors, mostly new ones, have been added the 27th of August 2021 in Windows 11 supported processors list (You can consult the full list of Windows 11 supported processors in this page):

Microsoft has also added a long list of Intel CPUs (mostly new ones but also some older ones) last 27th of August 2021 in the Windows 11 supported processors list. The list also included many additional Intel Xeon Server processors (not displayed here). You can consult the full list of Windows 11 supported processors in this page.

We have updated the Windows 11 compatibility information in the CPU details pages to include these additional CPUs.
